Chance for a Chance logo for the Dreams of Snowdrops contest being held by .

The Romanian charitable non-governmental organisation, Sansa Pentru Sansa, is in need of a new logo for their elementary school for children living with leukemia and other forms of cancer. Their website currently has an icon of two swans made up of support ribbons for different types of cancer.

Taking their swan idea, I made an image of an elegant swan offering a bunch of snowdrop flowers to a baby cygnet. The snowdrop flowers are a symbol of hope and life and growth. And the elder swan is providing these things for the child. The hard part was incorporating the support ribbon. I always had the shape in mind but putting it into actual form was very difficult.

On this entry I chose to use the ribbons to add color and as space markers between the words in the logo.
