Luna and Artemis

The final in the Sailor Moon Pin Up series.

I did it! All twelve months! Yay! *ded*

I'm so very pleased with myself. Or I may be later when it sinks in.

But for now, this is December's entry into the Sailor Moon PinUp calendar: Luna and Artemis

I was having a really hard time with picking a theme for December. Everything I tried seemed really clichéd and overdone. Everyone's done Santa and trees and presents. Then I was listening to some music and it was obvious. The Nutcracker ballet! Elegant and not particularly over-used and definitely a staple of the holidays. Not to mention it would also work for a male character.

So that was settled and I just needed some casting. I went with Zoe Saldana because in my mind human form Luna is black. And Zoe is so lithe and elegant. And she played a ballerina in a movie called Centerstage. Artemis was harder to figure out. In the end I chose Kellan Lutz. It was weird matching him to that long white hair! lol! And to be fair they don't really look like who they're supposed to be. But... well I need more practice and I know it!
